Recently I presented a webinar with my good friend Brian Broadhurst from TeamUltra Ltd, on the subject of Enterprise Service Management.
Simply, Enterprise Service Management involves extending the existing Service Management processes, tools, ways of working and workflow engines found in IT into the wider enterprise. This would typically start with an extension into HR or Facilities, where the processes of logging and resolving issues, or managing joiners, movers and leavers are largely similar to those followed in IT, but the possibilities are truly endless. Any business process which involves some form of a workflow can be codified and extended into the Service Management toolset.
